Link is the government-funded body established to
provide impartial advice to help local business to
start, grow and succeed in Berkshire and the South
West.

Business West is a partner company in Northern Arc
Ltd, a joint venture company established in April
2007 for the purposes of securing the South West
Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) contract for the
delivery of Business Link services in the West of
England, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. The
Organisation is chaired by Nicky Alberry.
Business Link in Berkshire and the South West is able
to help all types of small businesses either over the
phone or in one-to-one meetings. Advisers have a
comprehensive understanding of business issues and
all the contacts that are needed to grow a business.
The majority of our services are free and others are
extremely good value for money because funding comes
from the government. There is no sales pressure and
the advice is completely impartial. Advice and
guidance is given on high-level strategic issues as
well as specific areas including IT, finance,
marketing and exporting. Whether it is advice or
simply an impartial opinion that is needed, Business
